Comic book cover rough

Prospective cover for my comic. Im feelin the retro vibe. Mmmmmm graphic.....

So the robot didn't have any character before so I decided to give it a face painting on its armor . I wanted something that looked like it had good intentions but got distorted into something awful and creepy. In all i wanted something sinister, kinda like Fairey's Obey giant. The mask needed to represent authority of some sort. Something the people could hate and rebel against "1984" style.

Character expression rough

Just trying to work out how I'm going to articulate the characters expression, right now he looks a little lame (spaced out dead eyes, not very stunned, just dumb looking). I think my next attempts will try and exaggerate the expression range more. Scratchy type needs some work too.
